Works Progress Administration: Logo
Communication via Design recently completed a logo for the band Works Progress Administration (WPA). WPA takes their name from Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s 1939 New Deal initiative, which put millions to work making buildings, bridges, theater, art and music. When designing the new WPA logo, CviaD took inspiration from the themes of community, empowerment and industry. CviaD created a vintage microphone surrounded by a burst of eight colored rays to communicate the energy and excitement of WPA’s classic and iconic Americana sounds.
