Boston, MA – Communication via Design (CviaD), is proud to have created a brand identity and website for 2020 Women on Boards (www.2020WOB.com), a grassroots campaign that seeks to raise the percentage of women on corporate boards in the U.S. to 20% or greater by the year 2020.
To help jumpstart this campaign, CviaD helped forge a strategy that leverages traditional media streams, a dynamic website and social media to engage business and thought leaders. The goal is to bring national awareness to the importance of diversity in the boardroom.
CviaD developed a Drupal-based website (www.2020WOB.com) through which individuals can register their support for the campaign, automatically updating the number of supporters on the homepage. A registered supporter can then enlist friends, family and colleagues. Supporters and donors can make secure donations through an integrated payment gateway and access a growing, searchable company directory of "W" companies — "winning" companies that have already achieved the 20% milestone.
The website's Drupal content management system enables the 2020 Women on Boards team to post news and articles, update the company directory, make bog posts, create profiles of "W" companies, and more — all in a timely fashion to keep pace with the campaign.
Stephanie Sonnabend, 2020 Women on Boards founder and chief executive officer and president of Sonesta International Hotels Corporation, credits the website as being crucial to the success of the initiative.
