

Boston, MA – Communication via Design (CviaD) and the CIMIT web development team are pleased to announce the launch of CIMIT’s new website. CIMIT, the Center for the Integration of Medicine and Innovative Technology, is the premier multidisciplinary, translational research center in the nation. Their mission is to improve patient care by bringing together scientists, engineers, and clinicians to catalyze development of innovative technology, emphasizing minimally invasive diagnosis and therapy.
CviaD designed the new website in collaboration with CIMIT’s web development team to engage CIMIT’s diverse audiences while offering flexibility for future expansion and needs. Features include custom landing pages for key CIMIT audiences, an integrated space for video content, stories, and promotions, and a navigational structure that supports key paths, quick links, animation, quick view windows.
As a full service graphic design and marketing firm, CviaD first began work with CIMIT in 2006 to create a phased marketing strategy that aimed to increase visibility and engage new prospects. As an integral first step to the marketing strategy, CviaD designed a new logo and image identity in 2006 to reflect CIMIT’s unique postioning and to resonate with CIMIT’s current and prospective audiences. The new identity system includes a corporate color palette and brand usage guidelines to ensure coherence and consistency.
Over the past 24 months, CviaD has worked with CIMIT to implement the new image identity across a range of marketing communications including a marketing kit, quarterly newsletter, development brochure, a series of fellowship brochures and posters, HTML internal communications templates, CIMIT’s Innovation Congress event collateral (2006, 2007, 2008), and most recently, the website.
